MAGELLAN NAVAL is currently being tested on the Jacques Stosskopf force replenishment ship (BRF) under an experimental contract between STARNAV, CEPN and AID.
The experiment, which will be conducted over several months, should demonstrate the astro-inertial system's ability not to drift over time. Data exchange points are scheduled regularly during the mission.
